Seeking for Free - Complex form

I need a comparison chart/form, however it needs to combine php, javascript and maybe ajax. Not sure how to put it all together.

I need a type of comparison chart to show the difference in long term pricing and cost between purchasing products through one type of service vs credit cards.

Initially, I want a drop down menu which will be populated with a product name and price from a product database ( no problem fo rme to do ). As a user clicks on an item in the drop down list, that item and its price will then display in 2 separate columns, side by side. As the user continues to click on items from the list, each item will be added to the display, and keep a running total cost of the selected items; if items are removed, the total is also adjusted down. After they have selected all of their items, they click on a "Compare Costs" button, i.e., the user has selected items 1 and 4 ....

Drop Down Menu
Item 1 - 2,400.00
Item 2 - 1,950.00
Item 3 - 3,399.00
Item 4 - 1,599.00
Item 5 - 1,799.00

Left Column
Right Column
Item 1 - 2,400.00
Item 1 - 2,400.00
Item 4 - 1,599.00
Item 4 - 1,599.00
Total: 3,999.00
Total: 3,999.00

Compare Costs!

If needed, I can send a basic screenshot of the overall concept.

After clicking on the button, the running total needs to somehow show the overall long term costs of the 2 individual payment programs. Maybe go to separate "calculators", one to add a cost into a home mortgage payment calculator, and one to go to a credit card calculator, so that the user can see the overall long term costs of each. It would also need an area to add in mortgage rate/length, etc., as well as credit card rate/min. payment, etc., to do calculations.

So ..... is this possible .... been done before .... or am I nuts for even thinking about it? I'll provide more details if needed, and would be willing willing to make some type of payment that is reasonable and within my budget.

Re: Complex form

I am interested in helping out. I have an idea of how this application would work.

Email me at trevor.wright @vectec.org if the offer still stands.
