PHP gurus I need some help!

I am trying to teach myself PHP but I am having trouble, I have a great idea for a program but I just cannot physically create it. I was hoping that if I relayed my idea to someone more knowledgeable that they may be able to help me out or design it for me for a small fee?

What I am doing is for a small horse game. I would like to be able to post horses to the database (with a variety of characteristics) and have them searchable by horse name, id no., owner/breeder (if have a member number). And also to have their sire/dam information able to be input into the database and linkable so that it can build pedigrees and see relationships between horses.

Additionally, in the future I would like to make it so that members can add to pedigree information to sires and dams without adding horses to the database but that can be for another day.

THere is no PHP to the page yet because I keep deleting what I come up with because I cannot get it to function properly and it is makin me crazy

Also, yes, I forgot to add, I would like the "base color" and "Dillute, Modifier and/or coat pattern" to be something like

if Base_Color "Chestnut" and Color_Characteristics "Cream (double dillute)"
then Color "Cremello"

What exactly do you want the developer to do? Come up with a DB design, software design, write the code, some, all...

At this point I would love it if someone would just do the whole darn thing for me. I mean I can input the information no problem, just need someone to do the coding. I am having such a rough time with it all I think it would be easier if someone more knowledgeable could do it for me. I'd certainly be willing to pay them for their services.

You own horses, run a barn; but its also realistic in a lot of ways. Anyhow, like I said, I'm willing to pay, I can do the front end, at least what I want it to look like with html, but I just can't seem to get the swing of PHP.

Okay I have updated what I have for front-ends, and have done the work for the SQL database. I am just having trouble with the linking of the database and the front-end through PHP. So if someone would like to make a little money, I would like them to do that coding for me.
