REQUEST - Scripting

I am thinking of writing a php script for searching multi-forums memberlists without access to the database.

But I am unsure of how to write such a script.

Thanks for any help.

RE: REQUEST - Scripting

You want to write a script that searches different forums member lists, yet doesn't have access to the databases? Sounds like some spamming trick to me.

Not at all. It is for this game that have got different clans and these clans got forums. Some of these clans are allied and to avoid a war between these clans, a script which can search the memberlists for a name can help prevent that.

Understandable not all server admins want to give their database access. Also some of these forums are the free ones where the admins can't access the database.

RE: REQUEST - Scripting

Well, it is pretty much in the wrong forum. If you want to hire someone to help, it should be in the Barter forum. If you want people to help you figure out how to code it, you should start coding it and then ask for help when you get stuckin the PHP Coding forum.

Reason: As matt said if you want someone to help you posted in the wrong forum. Perhaps this one is better suited?
