Searching for a dropbox file sharing solution

Hi all,

I'm a PHP newbie and looking for help -- I figure someone out there has already got a solution to this issue.

I would like to build a dropbox solution into my website for users to leave all kinds of files of all kinds of sizes. My wishlist for this thing is as follows:

- no user login/accounts
- a form to select a variable number (1-10) of files to upload
- the checkbox to have each file either:
a) available to the public
b) just available to me
- email notification (just me) of any upload to my site
- restrict uploaded file types (I'll only accept mp3, jpg, zip, pdf, doc, xls, etc)
- restrict max file size
- restrict max directory space
- server-generated html (?) file listing the directory contents (public and private)

So I figure I'm probably not the first to want these things, and as I have very little experience in coding/scripting, I'm hoping people can offer suggestions to existing scripts that work well. Does anybody out there have this solution working for them?

None of this is hard but it's quite a bit of work. Maybe you should get started or hire someone. Break your task down into small workable bits
