Space RPG seeking lead php programmer

http://www.spacerpg.com is looking for a Lead Programmer to head up our programming team.

This is a hobbyist or part time position working under GPL, using php and phpBB.

Rogue Paragon Gate is currently designed as a small space and science fiction, forum based role-playing game.
The aim is to develop it as an interactive database driven game, being fully dynamic, letting the players develop things like technology, planets and ships, so that they can carve out their own unique niche’s. What I hope will be unique about the development, over other’s already existing, is the realistic touch to its concepts, its interactivity and the ability for people to create things for use in the game. I am hoping the realistic scientific side will appeal to a certain type of gamer, often overlooked in roleplaying games.

We have two competent php programmers, an artist and a writer, besides myself designing the project now. We simply need someone to come in and direct the programmers behind the technical side of the project. We have a detailed design document you can look over, refine or change around at your leisure. We are using subversion source code protection, to allow multiple programmers to work on the code at once.

A few basic examples of what, in the short term we are looking to achieve are:

Character sheets that are editable, money that can for instance can be transferred and used to buy things.
A technology table that can be submitted to and edited by moderators, which then is used to create player owned assets sheets from.
A colony database listing the specifics of each colony, which is dynamically altered over time.
A dynamic personal ship asset system, that gives the players a personal feel to it.

The site will continue to expand and when we have finished, will be a bustling showcase for anyone to add to their portfolio. Any work you do will always be credited.

If you feel you can lead a small team of programmers or would like to join the project in any capacity, please stop by http://www.spacerpg.com and post in the forums. No registration is currently required to post.

The setting - 'The human race is developing in many different ways, distinct cultures are vying for their own recognition. Mars is fighting for independence and Earth is ridding itself of all lingering corporate influence, scarred by the Mega corporation wars. Humanity is starting to look outward, both mindful and hopeful of what lies ahead.'

Thanks a lot for reading this through,
Mark
