Investor's Business Daily - The 30-year mortgage rate averaged 6.17% in the week ending April 18 from 6.22% the previous week, as inflation moderated, Freddie Mac said. It was the first decline since early March. Mortgage rates followed Treasury yields, which pulled back after rebounding for several weeks. The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage dipped to 5.89% from 5.90% last week. One-year Treasury-indexed ARMs fell 2 basis points this week to 5.45%. View the Entire Article
