UniCredit, Capitalia boards set to back merger (Reuters)

Reuters - Italian bank UniCredit looked set to
acquire smaller rival Capitalia on Sunday, with their boards
due to meet to approve an all-share deal worth nearly 22
billion euros ($29.7 billion) to create Europe's second-largest
bank.
