A Link to open the site under our parent site
Dear All
We have a problem We had been given a link (a javascript) to display certain part of a web site (we call it service provider) that allows a user to enter parameters to search availability of flight, horel, cars etc. However a click on "search" navigates to the actual web site of service provider. We want to display this web site under our banner or under our web site (we can user frames). Please inform us whether this is possible. If yes how. Your help is badly needed |

Just be mindful that what you are trying to do is called "deep linking", and is considered illegal in quite a few countries and states, because it hides or "steals" the web identity of the target website. Normally a website's identity is mainly created by the presence of a logo on the top left of the page, and by its URL, so that a person can save the current page as a bookmark of favourite. However, if you open their site in an iframe, your own URL remains on the browser's title bar and URL bar, so that saving the page as a favourite will save yours instead of the target website. Morale of the story: get approval from the target websites before even looking at using deep linking. |
