Hi,
In my webserver's html file there is a button: <input type="button" onclick="javascript:window.location = 'file:///E:/start.html' " value="click here"> My target is that : When I click on this button I want a popup window to open with the html file in the client's system in the address bar (C:/start.html). When I execute the above statement it says "Access is denied" I know that it is restricted to access client system's files. But I feel there might be a solution. Pls. help urgently. Regards, tvks |

theres no solution on this one.it is only allowed when the script and the file is on the same machine.... its a standard security issue of every browser... you may just want them to use the file form and allow them to browse or automatically put a content on that form then submit then just play on the submitted form...
