.htaccess

I use this code in my .htaccess file to secure my config file

<Files .htaccess> order allow,deny deny from all </Files> <Files /inc/config.inc> order allow,deny deny from all </Files>

 
<Files .htaccess>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>
<Files /inc/config.inc>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>

The problem is that it doesn't work on the config file, only on the .htaccess file
What is wrong?

you put the .htaccess file in the directory with the config.inc and it does it's job from there.
