The code you posted is not JSON, it is a Javascript object. JSON is a framework which allows data to be converted into various formats to allow it to be read by other languages, in the case of Javascript, objects.

From JSON.org:
Quote:
Nothing about frameworks in there, it is just a way to represent various bits of data.

How is that not JSON? JSON is just a short hand way to write an object in javascript. It is a javascript object that is created using notation.

So how is the code i posted not a notation? It is just a shorthand way of writing out the entire class. |

just because there are frameworks for it, doesn't make it a framework. There are frameworks for PHP, does that make PHP a framework? no. There are frameworks for JS, does that make JS a framework? no. JSON by itself, is just a shorthand way to write an object. It does have a framework for it, does that make it a framework? no.
