scripts on php hyperlinks

dear all,

i would like to run a unix script on remote computer by clicking an html link. the link will pop a window for user input and control (ie. terminate...) , it should also display the status of the script.

would appreciated any ides on how to start doing this.....

Well in PHP you could use the exec() function I should think.
