scroller in i-frame

I have been looking for a news scroller which is fed from an html file.

I found a site which I downloaded a simple i-frame program which draws a webpage into an i-frame and scrolls it. Looks like the scrolling action source code is in the html page drawn from.

Anyway, it worked fine when I uploaded a page with the i-frame code and the html page on the same server...but the scrolling function does not work when the i-frame code is put on a different server.

My goal is to give away the i-frame code to interested webmasters and have my end feed the news updated daily.

It seems to me it should work because there is no program outside the html page that feeds the text and scrolling effect. The i-frame code itself is just a placemark with a link to the html page that feeds the contents.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong...or is it possible the code must be on the same server. The content does come up in the i-frame on other servers...it just doesn't scroll except where I have both on the same server.
