RE: tables, spans, graphics ahhhh!!!
I can get it ok in IE using a nested table, but then suddenly Mozilla isn't listening anymore.
Also changing the 58-height cell into a div and placing it at the bottom of the *.* cell works well in IE, but not in Mozilla. I'll have a sleep on it... |

mmz, I see the original throws an alert in Mozilla? Why is that? It shouldn't be so hard to get the JS to work in Moz, and as far as I can see it is the only browser that handles the layout of your example perfectly.

Quote:
IE can do it if you put the *.* area and the *.58 bottom area in a nested table |

I will do that, thanks for all the help
tables, never liked them, I normally use div's so much easier! |

RE: tables, spans, graphics ahhhh!!!
well it looks liek we can conculde that IE just can't handle a complex table with lots of spans.
I did what you suggested, which I could have done all along of course, but I wanted to know why it did not work, I think we can chalk that one up to browser quirk and get on with life. once again, I appreciate the time you devoted to this. Thank you |
