Webcam and Microphone Access in Flash MX
Hi there!
I've been playing with Flash a hell of a lot recently and have seen that some sites are able to access your Microphone. Theres also an option on the settings dialogue to access a Webcam too. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this - I don't want to send the data anywhere, just display/process it in the movie. I have a suspicion that you need Flash MX Communication Server, but am not sure. I'd acually like to play this using the standalone Flash player, not on the web! [If anyones interested - I've just used Flash & a digital projector to create transitions between scenes in the School production, and create the scenery behind the actors (meaning the only physical scenery we needed was a white screen). This camera and mic thing is an experiment for a music & dance contest thats coming up soon] Cheers - Craig |
