rooms on diagonal

If a case arose where two rooms were on a diagonal from one another, would they be considered connected, or would one need to add a corridor block to the side of one and the top/bottom of the other?

-Jeff

RE: rooms on diagonal

I think map generator(s) must prevent this from occuring.

RE: rooms on diagonal

I disagree - I think that's one room, it just cost the original builder of the room an extra 4 for that diagonal.

RE: rooms on diagonal

I agree with GiantPeach.
This is ONE room.
Furthermore 4 points would be only added if the diagonal contains (1 room/1 corr.) or (1 corr./1 corr.), but not (1 room/1 room).

... on the other hand, it should be better to make less assumptions as possible on inputs.
Any official answer to Jeff's important question ?

RE: rooms on diagonal

by the current rules, that would be one room.

but that kind of rooms will (probably) not be in the test maps..
