database abstraction

Hi,

I have looked at the tutorial for databse abstraction (see the link below):

http://codewalkers.com/tutorials/18/1.html

It opens some doors to me, but I have a question (maybe a dumb question...):
in this tutorial I see a

php Code:

Original - php Code
require_once 'DB.php';

require_once 'DB.php';

statement. My question: what kind of file is this, what's in it?

It's just a php include including a external php file. In this case the file contanins a PEAR DB abstarction file.
