This is line 87:

pretty much all session_* functions are going away (and apparently are gone in your php version). You should switch all your code to use the preferred $_SESSION array. Anything set under $_SESSION will be added to the session and anything removed (using unset) will be removed from the session. $_SESSION has been the preferred method for setting/getting session variables since 2001.

I got locked out! Could not get back in, gave up and joined as universal!!

Anyway, this script is dated 2005 so it looks like it needs updating. Is it possible to update the segment in question and replicate it where needed.

Thanks,
ducha...opps!

the code:

Code:
if( session_is_registered("ulogin") )

Can just be replaced with:

Code:
if(isset($_SESSION['ulogin']))

That's IT! That's IT!

You did it! It works perfectly!

Thank you!

Now I have to do some massaging to get my front/home page to blend in with the program.

That's it, you hit a home run!
Many thanks,
universal

Ok, now that I have time for the project I see another error (bummer):

Code:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function session_is_registered() in /home/u649279953/public_html/admin/index.php on line 9

This is line 9:

Code:
if( session_is_registered("alogin") ) {

This is all since I can't get any further.

Thanks,
universal

Just replace anywhere that says:

Code:
session_is_registered('someKey')

with:

Code:
$_SESSION['someKey']

All instances. where "someKey" is anything between quotes. So, for example, if in your code it says:

Code:
session_is_registered("ulogin");

Just make it:

Code:
$_SESSION["ulogin"]

Ok, here goes...

Line 9 said
Code:
if( session_is_registered("alogin") ) {

now says

Code:
if( $_SESSION ("alogin") ) {

Code:
Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/u649279953/public_html/admin/index.php on line 9

You have to change the parenthesis to square brackets also. it is:

Code:
$_SESSION['someKey']

Notice the [ and ], not parenthesis.

Ok, I changed it to

Code:
if( $_SESSION ["alogin"] ) {

but get

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/u649279953/public_html/admin/index.php on line 9

EDIT TIME

I put config on my recipe site as text:

UPDATE:

I had forgotten to upload the modified admin/index.php!!!

So now the login shows up but when I do passwords it kicks back like I had not entered any pw.

I'll have to play around with it.

universal

'nother update:

I did all of these

Code:
$_SESSION
brackets too.

there's a ton of 'em. The login keeps kicking back to blank fields. But when I put in the wrong info it says wrong user/password.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
universal
