linking database with auto fill-in form
I am tryng to figure out how to create a from that will take information entered into a databse and auto-fill it into a form. I have MS Office pro (access and word). I would like to create a pedigree form for my daughter to use for her 4-H rabbits. After you enter the information into the database (name, sex, reg no, color, weight, grand champion number, winnings, sire, and dam) I would like to have the information automatically entered into the pedigree ( I assume word would work for this?) where you just type the rabbits name and it would extract the lineage information from the database based on what was typed for the parentage. Is this possible? I have the basic database prepared with the above mentioned fields using combo boxes for choices of sex and color and I have a simple pedigree form created in word. I was going to use a "mail merge" but I cant seem to get it to work properly with the rest automatically filling in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
