Mac 10.5 installing MySql Help

Does anyone or can anyone direct me to installing MySql on this this Mac. (10.5.2 leopard)
I've spent the past few days trawling through pages and it still doesn't want to work.
Something doesn't seem to be right with it.
In SySpref >MySql it seems to be running but the button to says "Start MySql Server" even though its already started.
(Think I might have answered my question, should I be using server? If not, is there an easy way to uninstall MySql server and start again?)

Also I'm used to using MySql on PC through command line client. Where do I find the command client on the mac.
I'm assuming you get to it through the terminal but they don't make it easy.

Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
