Moving servers, need some help
I am fairly new to sql and I am not quite sure what my options are here. Here's the problem; I am moving servers, completely switching hosting companies. So what are my options for moving the database information from the old box to the new one? Can I download the info and then reupload? Or can I simply move the info from one unix box to the other? Anyone know any info on this and got a sec to help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

RE: Moving servers, need some help
You two best options would be to either use phpmyadmin and dump the data. It can allow you to download it in a zip file.

The other option is to use mysqldump from the shell prompt....
