problem after upgrate of mysql
Well, I uninstalled mysql4.0.1-alpha and installed mysql4.0.11a-gamma at WIN and when I try to connect with a php script using the default user name (root) and password i get the error:
Access denied for user: 'root@127.0.0.1' (Using password: YES) I tried phpbuilder and phpfreaks, but nobody seems to care enough for my problem. The thing is that I was creating a script for News Publishing and I can't do it now because of this... If anyone could help I will be very greatfull.

do you have to use root? its a big security hole, why not just create a new user?

I tried this also but nothing happened... I get the same error:
Access denied for user: 'zeratul@127.0.0.1' (Using password: YES) If I log in with no user and pass I get no error but I can't see any record.
