Can you decipher this text?

TLETE CPGPH ARUIO HIRUO RTRHA CISSR ETARF YOAYS UOHTY.

English text, 45 characters, ciphered by hand, it is a simple cipher.

If you have the solution keep it to yourself for a while in order not to spoil this for others.

Good luck

Simple cipher? Must be Caesar algorithm, right?

It can be either substitution cipher (this includes Caesar's cipher) or transposition cipher.

It shouldn't be too difficult to check if it is Caesar's cipher or not.

RE: Can you decipher this text?

Doesnt a transposition cipher usually contain a keyword of some sort?? Even if it is a simple cipher, if that component is missing, it cant be done.

RE: Can you decipher this text?

That's amazing. How did you get 62 characters out of 45?
Are you sure you are Postal Cow and not Cipher Cow?

Hint: Do you like Matrix?

Edit: No keyword is needed.

RE: Can you decipher this text?

nice hint about matrix. also, it helped that all the words are of the same length. (i noticed that even before, when i tried to break by finding short words like "are" "you" and such)

btw, "acurioustishory" is not even a word.. or is it?

RE: Can you decipher this text?

Ouch, it's typo.

The last 5 characters are UOTHY but it should be UOHTY.
Now it should give sense.

RE: Happy Birthday xs0

ah.. interesting indeed. and if think about it, we might not even have computers today if it cryptography wasn't so popular 50 or so years ago. think about ENIGMA, and the fight between UK and Germany in WWII.

that is when it all started..

well, "luda" is from "mad cow". and "postal cow" would be "poštanska krava", which doesn't make any sense.

what else can "postal" mean (besides "usa postal services")? i know about a term "going postal" but i don't understand it..

postal workers have a history of going insane, they have one of the most repetitive jobs in the world (the mail never ends).. to go postal, is to go insane.

RE: Can you decipher this text?

The Enigma Machine was really powerfull in WW2. I wonder if Allies broke this cipher before or after capturing The Enigma Machine.

What about: Postal Cow = PoÅ¡tovnÃ* kráva (in Czech)

Zombie: congrats for deciphering the text
