Captcha effectivity?
My captcha field asks what month is today? Is this an effective way on preventing those bots? What do you think?

Definitely effective enough against radnom spam bots. If someone bothered to write a bot to spam specifically your site, it would probably not be very effective. But if you're site isn't that high-profile, I think it's great. It doesn't annoy the user so much.
I thought about a captcha that would show the user a colored rectangle and ask for the color. The user would pick their answer from a drop-down box. To make it more complex to create a bot that would bypass the captcha, I would randomize the values that are to be sent in the POST variable.

That would be a cool color captcha! I was thinking that I would have a problem every time the month ends when a user fills up the form on the other side of the world. Haven't tested for that yet.
