clueless - will a PCMCIA card work on any macintosh laptop?
that's it basically - I'm trying to write a spec for a wireless network with a macintosh laptop and a pc (not wireless). Does anyone know if I can use a regular pcmcia wireless network card with the mac or do I have to get a specific type? Also, is there a wireless version for the pc? I am thinking that it would be less expensive than tearing down the wall to install a socket.
Thanks! P |

RE: clueless - will a PCMCIA card work on any macintosh laptop?
I know that some Mac Laptops have a PCMCIA slot. It depends on the model. Can you give us specifics on that?
As for a wireless card for the PC, I use a Linksys WMP11 and have been very happy with it. You should be able to find one cheap on amazon or ebay. |
