Comcast to raise rates 6% Jan 1st

You may have noticed (or you may not care) that I changed my sig...
I am sick of Comcast (among other cable companies) who feel that they can raise rates AGAIN. It seems that every 6 months or so they announce a rate hike for some reason or other.

So I switched to Dish Network, seems good so far, though I havent had a bad storm yet, it does fine in high winds.

But for half of what I was paying for cable, I get all my programming that I had, plus some more sports chans (that I only use for football)

If anyone else has Dish, please let me know what to look for, and if anyone else is sick of Comcast (or their local cable company) feel free to go here and let the cable company know where to stick it!

4 years ago I was paying $60 a month for basic cable with cable modem, come january first, it will be $132 with the 6% increase. Thats highway robery

im paying about 90....for 2 channel feeds and broadband capable of 3 megs down. I think its worth it, and until dish or dsl can prove otherwise, thats what im using.
