copyright

how do i copyright my codes? im thingking of releasing my first code, but i do not want people claiming that the code they are using is created by them. what should i do so that all the credits to the codes remains to the author. i planning of distributing it as a freeware.

RE: copyright

You will need to seek legal advice to get a copyright you can however just make sure that the credits are kept in place by assinging a if statment to check if they are but make it obscure and delete the script if there is no author notifications.

RE: copyright

the simplest is to use some OSS licence, like GPL (or BSD, or MPL, or)..

open any script that is distributed under some of this licenses, and copy the header.. but remember to change the author info to point to you..

that should do it..
