create mail server in localhost
I want to create a mail server
I use apache(web server) ,php,mysql
is any servers wantted to install with thwe apove and shall I used windows xp server2003 or home.E
I want to create a Intranet webserver(network) in localhost
in anather words I want to install(smtp or pop3..)where I can have it and How????

there a number of mail server programs out there - sendmail, qmail to name some off the top of my head. google on "mail server" to get a listing. For Windows OS - I don't know any off the top of my head.

on windows cant u just specify two SMTP servers? (Dont use windows anymore so i may be wrong)

oh shoot... I used to know an SMTP/POP server for windows, but I've drawn a blank. I think I got it off google or download.com

Here's one option. Not probably good for production use. If you have Windows Server 2003, this functionality is built into IIS.
