Disable HTTP Referer
I have been looking all over to see how you can disable the HTTP referer request from working. I want to be able to do this manually.
I have read that Norton Personal Firewall incudes such a feature for security, and I would like to know how they did it. I do not want to use any software if possible because I want to know it is done, therefore I can simply disable it without needing to buy any expensive software. I am assuming it is in the registry. Any ideas? |

RE: Disable HTTP Referer
opera has this functionality I believe, but some websites will stop working for you if you don't allow them to see the referer.

RE: Disable HTTP Referer
Yes, I know some sites wont work, but I can always enable them while I browse those sites.
I am looking for a way to do it in IE. Norton firewall, and about three others support blocking the http referer, but I am trying to find out HOW! So far no luck. |
