Question Does anyone know of?

Does anyone know of an application that can keep my pc alive?
An application that logs any or all attempts to shut down the machine?
That can keep a computer up and running and not allow it to be shut down illegaly?

Any ideas?
I had one about 5 years ago and it worked GREAT! but can't remember the name except it kept my pc alive, well and logged any attempt to try and shut it down illegally or unexpectedly without the natural way of shutting it down.

Is this due to a virus or is it a program?

I remember trying to play flyff with my friend...
I got him to install it, but after playing it for about 10 minutes, the computer shut down and restarted. He seems to think that it's due to his gfx card overheating or something.

Anyway...that's the best advice I can give you since I've never directly dealt with a problem like this...

Something may be overheating causing it to shut down. I don't know many applications that would call to shutdown. You may have a virus or something, but it's either that or a hardware problem.

Is this what you are looking for?

http://www.softlookup.com/download.asp?id=83361

It's called Antishutdown. I didn't think about this before, but it could be that you have some program that is installing updates and then restarting automatically...

Not exactly as it was a free app.
I even recall a friend of mine said that he got it on a cd through a magazine.
Will play with it and see what it does.

Thanks
