Does pinging a website consumes bandwidth? for example if I ping mysite.com -t (continuous) does it consumes bandwidth to mysite.com?

Pinging means sending an ICMP packet to the target system. The packet contains data, which means it will consume some of the bandwidth. The packet is very small, though. The ping program on my computer seems to send packages of 64 bytes by default.
