editworkspro
anyone attempted mods to this beast?
the program is cool, I managed to add in save button and fix a couple of things I didn't like but I seem to have hit a brick with this. The styles functionality is cool but it does not allow somthing.something, only something ot .something !!! unfortunatly I can't dig out the code for this, I assume it is in the nasty encoded javascript! what the heck is that for anyway? trade secrets. I have done all this kind of stuff before but no I have to hide their styles and rewrite my own ones which work the way I would like. Darn and heck! PS - Their web site is down (has been for a couple of days now), is there a mailing list or forum for it that anyone knows about? thanks |

RE: editworkspro
i suggest you drop that and start fresh with htmlArea
http://www.interactivetools.com/staff/ben/htmlarea3_demo/example.html their 3.0 version (in alpha) works with mozilla 1.3+, and most important, it is open source! not gpl even, bsd style ;) but anyway, it is nicely done. i am basing my wysiwyg ubbc editor on it.. soon to get to beta.. and it has a nice support forum on their site. and ppl have already did a lot of extensions... so... have fun ;) |
