flame on me

OK - I admit I was very irritated when responding to this thread and probably could have been nicer about my last answer. Do you think I acted appropriately or should I have just kept my big mouth shut and walked away? I will apologize if you think I should.

And yes I understand codewalkers is a community and that noobs need gentle guidance not harsh criticism.. but.. Grr.

RE: flame on me

I agree with you that your last answer was a bit harsh. I guess the better first answer might have been:

Quote:
There's an issue with your query and you are going to need to figure out what that issue is. Why don't you insert 'echo mysql_error();' between lines 492 and 493?

That would have shown the person how to do it themselves and given them more immediate satisfaction.

BTW..I've deleted your last and his last post...neither contributed to the thread .

RE: flame on me

I'm sorry for any problems I may have caused... guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed (or PMSing - but that is probably more information then you needed ;) ). hehe
