RE: Hackers
They are all just silly names that don't make any difference. There are three classes of computer users:
Professionals (your hacker) Standard Users Idiots (your crackers and your hax0rs fall here) |

RE: Hackers
a hacker is someone who likes to learn for themself, and is usually very skilled at whatever they choose to study.
a cracker is the same is above, but they usually tend to have a malicious state of mind. a h4x0r can be either of the above (in mockery), but is otherwise a script-kiddy. a script-kiddy is someone who thinks they're more of a professional than they really are, although they are much more advanced than your average user. then at the bottom of the chain matt, is the standard/average user. remember i work in tech support. |

RE: Hackers
Well there could be 'good' crackers but the name crackers suggests breaking/entering an area/place where they should not be. Script Kiddies are annoying, just go on one of these 3d communities and you find thousands who if you asked them what linux or php was they would look at you as if you had two heads (which isnt possible in a digital community
That reminds me i came across a tech support trying to solve a dns problem: Here |
