Help Needed (php/mysql stats project)

I am looking for an individual who is experienced with php/mysql to complete a coding project for my gaming fan site. The project was originally taken on by a very capable programmer but his many other commitments have forced him to focus on other matters. The existing code is functional and commented very well but needs to have a couple more functions added to it and be polished for use.

THE PROJECT

The project is a statistics management and display project. The data originates in the official database of the game Cybots (made by Tasman Studios in Australia). The good people there have written a .jsp file that allows us to query their database. We capture this data and store it in our MySQL database on our site, Cybot Central.

The data is then drawn from our database to be displayed on out site. We want to display the data from our database to minimise the amout of strain we put on the Tasman Studios servers.

Page creation on our site is to be dynamic and the data is to be presented in one of two ways. Primarily it will be shown based on the class of data (i.e. shields, weapons, modules, chassis's, reactors, etc..) but a search feature is also needed. Of course, a definable maximum number of returns is also needed so that a page doesn't end up with 200 items on it.

The good people at Tasman Studios have agreed that they are willing to make any changes to the .jsp file that would be required to see this project end in success.

CURRENT STATE

- .jsp file is written and works
- data can be pulled from Tasman Studios database and be put into Cybot Central database
- data can be pulled from Cybot Central database and displayed on Cybot Central domain

CODING REQUIRED

- add pictures to data stored for each item
- add search function
- add definable limit for max number of items displayed on a page
- setup and admin GUI or config file to store values that may change

COMPENSATION

Cybot Central is a fan site dedicated to the community surrounding the game of Cybots. The community is largely comprised of teens between the ages of 12-19. We exist only to "giveback" to the gaming community and do not make any profit from the site at all. Due to these facts we can not offer monetary compensation in any amount. We can, and will, on your request place an email or web link on each page that displays content managed by the scripts you have worked on. I know that isn't a lot to offer but it is the best we can do. We are hoping to find someone wanting a small project and is willing to donate their time and efforts in the same way we do to bring CybotCentral.Com to the Cybots Community.

REALTED LINKS

Tasman Studios - Makers of the game Cybots
Cybots Game - The game, Cybots
Cybot Central - Cybots Fan Site

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this request. If you are interested in getting invloved in this project please contact me and I can make the currently existing code available. I hope to hear from you in the near future. (griswald@cybotcentral.com)
