Hey Everyone
Hey, Everyone,

I just want to take a minute and introduce myself. Other than being an Administrator for the new Codewalkers, I'm also a full-time technical writer/editor. I specialize in Windows System Administration and Windows Scripting.

I look forward to joining your community here and I hope you find the changes pleasant. If at any point you have any problems, please don't hesitate to send me a PM or IM. I'm always available to help out.

We're also open to your suggestions and we'd love to hear your feedback.

Thanks for making Codewalkers such a great community and welcome to the Developer Shed Network of sites.

Hi Nilpo,

I'm Andrew, i too was a super user/moderator.

This will take some time to get used to, still expecting to see the old posting buttons. These forums have many more features (and buttons) to play around with and get used to.

I wouldn't let on your specialties are in Windows Scripting and Windows Sys Admin, though... at least not with this crowd. ;)

I don't think the Codewalkers crowd is that bad? But come to think of it I very rarely saw any windows problems posted on the old forum

True. I recall a long time ago there was even a forum dedicated to Windows administration named "Windows land". It was then merged with the sysadmin forum we have now.

I think there's some sort of increase in Windows server related threads. Most of them are PHP code problems, though, but often it's a windows-only "feature" in question.

Nice to meet you as well.

I never said it was my only specialty, lol. My own own sites are all php driven on Linux servers. I think Windows sucks as a web platform and I personally prefer being an open-source developer.

Unfortunately, I have tons of experience with Windows and have become a recognized writer on the subject.

You never know, I stick around here long enough and that could all change.
