I have been looking for an internal mail system script written in php, the only one I have come across I found on this website but the code isnt the best and will not connect to my mysql database no matter what I do... can anyone here point me in the right direction as to where I may be able to find this script or something like it.

RE: Internal mail

The problem is is im not looking for "Web" based email I dont want to offer people the option of access to outside email accounts.. I want to run a pseudo "internal" email system where users can post messages back and forth to eachother by clicking on their profile. there is probly not anything like this out there for free.. like I said before I may have to write it on my own. (might take me a freakin' year) but hey I will learn.

RE: Internal mail

i understand what you are saying. that sounds simple. all you want is a messaging system like what CodeKadiya had on his site. its similar to a forum in terms of using the database and all. it shouldn't take you a 'year'.

RE: Internal mail

never, i repeat, never use phpBB as a learning tool..

what you are looking for is not "an (internal) email system", but "a (private) messaging system". try looking under that name..

and if you don't find anything, and/or want to write one yourself, ask here, we will help.. but don't use phpBB!

RE: Internal mail

i mentioned to him that it was a messaging system that he was looking for and that he should consult with codekadiya since he made one for his website.
