RE: It has come full circle

For me the circle is never complete, it just twists into new shapes (So it isnt really a circle ;)). I respond to questions that i know the answer to and sometimes i need help. Im pretty sure no one knows Php inside out (what with all the extensions etc).

Im actually kind of curious as to when i actually joined, i think it was sometime in 2003, not sure though.

Also the student became the master under the old post count system when you hit 800 posts or something like that, but some people posted for the sake of raising the post count. I never got to guru . Matt took off the post counts before i could lol.

RE: It has come full circle

Ya, I"ve posted help since I came, and asked questions. I think its only fair to return to the community, I mean, my questions would stay unanswered if it weren't for the people here. This community is unique in that they don't judge you, alot of places I go, you end up with a response like "RTFM", or "n00b" or something along those lines, here its very supportive, knowing that you can help, and be helped without worrying about being "respected" or "1337".

RE: It has come full circle

I started asking questions about 2.5 years ago on another site and started answering questions the same day - if I knew the answer or at least the general area to look into.

I still ask questions here, on the mailing lists, and occasionally on an IRC channel I hang out on as needed. Heavan knows there are plenty of "holes" in my knowledge. Will I ever become a Master - eventually I hope to. For now I am too busy learning new things, passing on what I do know, and hearing about things I never whould have thought to ask.

Remember - as the Teacher teaches the student, the teacher learns from the student. The true Master never stops learning.

RE: It has come full circle

i think i *attempted* to answer about a day after i joined. i figured, there's no point being here just to "use" everyone for help, i should do my bit, and help back.
