Looking for suggestions for developing community site

I'm looking for suggestions for developing a LAMP based community site. I've looked at Drupal, Joomla, phpBB, and WordPress. Each seems to offer part of what I'm looking for, but nothing seems to have it all. I'm sure I could hack around in the code of any of the above and stitch them together, but that seems a fragile solution. The other thing I'm considering is building the whole thing from the ground up myself, but that seems like a lot of duplication of effort since everything I want exists as parts of other packages.

If any of you have suggestions, I'd sure appreciate it.

Requirements
  • single-point sign on and member management
  • discussion forums world readable but only members capable of posting
  • member blogs with member configurable permissions (e.g., world readable, only viewable by registered users)
  • member profiles with member configurable permissions
  • consistent look-and-feel site wide, but with some user latitude in how their profile page and blog will look

Thanks,
Ursus
