good point but the idea is it is to show how much php has come on in the from 2000 to 2002

Are there actual numbers that goes along with this? All this graph shows is that PHP has taken over about 33% of ASP's market share. What is this even measuring?

wouldn't be surprised if the graphs are based on percentages of hosting companies that offer PHP as a scripting solution...

Yea, Zombies right, perl is still a huge percentage, especially with true old *nix users. Before I saw Linux, I was using Irix perl was everything back then.
