i suppose if you saw two guys peeing on a wall with an "H" between them that'd be kinda funny.

isn't it weird how the first p in php stands for php? so, what.. is it personal home page hypertext preprocessor? i'm confused

As the FAQ on PHP.net states, PHP stands for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor".

It's a recursive acronym. See that link for more.

Thats great honcho.

People used to ask me.. "HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language, ASP stands for Active Server Pages.. So what does really PHP really stands for?"
I just say "It doesn't matter to me so far as I know how to write it."

I wanted to ask this longtime back but I didn't think notepad was in the same confusion.
