Stock Chart Generation

How do Finance Site generate Stock Charts?
Are there massive Databases storing this information?

I am sure they have to have giant databases full of that info...i know that Yahoo Finance is run with php....

Actually, I just looked at the very bottom of the finance.yahoo.com page and saw this:

So, it looks like they are grabbing that data from a couple of services. Makes sense, TIBCO and Commodity Systems probably make a living on supplying data like that....

I figured as much...
I'm already using a product that webfetches data. I was working on something that's less out sourcing and more in house.
Yet... I've come to a stand still with the Charting portion of the App.
