You know Matt – I should take offence at the ‘limey's’ (but only show it using a nod, smile and the traditional British ‘stiff upper lip’ – maybe even have a cup of tea) but at least you can distinguish that the UK is a separate country and has a name! For example, the day after Boxing Day (while doing one of the parent trips) I gave my girlfriends brother a hand setting up his new 7.1 speakers coupled with an Audigy2 sound card. All was fine (although with that many leads for the 7.1’s you almost need an engineering degree to set them up – never going to try that again after having too many beers).

Then I installed the drivers for the card and had to choose my language… drop down combo box with two languages… 1) United States of America 2) Rest of the World!!! You may as well say ‘us’ or ‘them’

I finally got to the language selection buttons for us aliens and low and behold – all the country names were spelt in English-American – that’s like a Japanese company releasing software where I had to pick ‘English’ in Japanese symbols!

Boxing Day:
'The first week day after Christmas, a legal holiday on which Christmas boxes are given to postmen, errand boys, employees, etc. The night of this day is boxing night', Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary.

But then as a 'yank', I wouldn't expect you to understand this concept!

(got ya! )

That's right, cause us Yanks always allowed our servants to celebrate Christmas on Christmas rather than force them to do it on another day ;)
