Veni vidi vici-- The Dngrsone is here

Hello everyone; welcome to Dev!

I am Dngrsone, otherwise known as the Infernal Technomancer, Major Annoyance, and hardware guru... and Nilpo's 'Big Brother.'

You will note that I have a huge set of symbols to the right of my Reputation square. Those are protein icons (though most of us call them flowers), and they represent the amount of Folding I have done on behalf of Dev Hardware.

I'm not a big programming guy, that's Nilpo's gig, but I am pretty knowledgeable at hardware stuff, so if you guys have any questions, just let 'em fly. Also, feel free to swing by my place over at Dev hardware.

I didn't actually notice Dev Hardware before, I'll have to check that out. If there's any discussion about DIY electronics I just might participate

All kinds of discussion... dang, I forgot about the whole no-linking for new guys thing... I wasted all that time providing links only to have them ripped out of my post.

Nice to meet ya Dngrsone - have to warn you though - I am a hardware idiot so be gentle with me. Like your location "Location: Centrally located far from everywhere" sounds like me - just maybe on the other side of the earth.

Not quite the other side, but at least you have warm ocean to swim in and pretty fishies...

My dad spent some five years on Guam as a sailor; he brought back a lot of pretty shells (and an awesome solid mahogany bookcase).

Hi, just joined up and new to folding, putting in some hard folding for our Dev team an hoping to get more on board if you are up for it.

If anyone wants to get involved check out the dev hardware forum, I will try and get some more posts in so I can add in a link to it.

You're following me again, John... ;)

I'm only slightly annoyed by the fact that the admins ahve neglected to insert the folding hack into these newer forums... they may be small but every little bit counts.

Not to mention that a few threads related to folding might just get more traffic going here.

I just started participating last weekend. It's an important cause. I agree that the folding hack would be nice -- people just love to see more garbage next to their nickname/avatar/whatever and that way we could get more participants. A part of the hack is there. You can enter your folding ID. It just doesn't seem to do anything.

I noticed that there is a top folder here, so I guess that's the part that is here...

You mean Dysan? I took the liberty of checking from the modcp: he hasn't entered a folding ID.

Something is definitely broken here...

I am not following but trying to revive the effort you put in some time back on several forums to get folding alive in other forums.

There is something wrong with the folding hack here, I have entered my folding number and nothing is coming up. Noticed the same for others and would assume you have entered your folding number in your CP as well.

I am the total newbie, anyone have any suggestions how we approach getting this looked at (BTW it has taken me about 4 weeks to get my problem with the hack fixed that my points froze at 91148 and it looks like I have to do it forum by forum for them to fix it, so I do not think I am the one that will get quick results).

Lets not go there, but yes a few tickets (over a few weeks) and PM to Admins (as suggested to me in DevH).

Happy to say that they have now fixed my DevH forum flowers but not others, but I am making progress.

Maybe I need to do more ppd to get them unstuck
