Different Recurring dates

Hi folks

This script is just what I need, but I'd like to have recurring events by;
day (busy from this day to another etc)
weekly
month (payments due etc)
year (birthdays, public hols etc)

I can have a look at it myself (though I'm only a novice), but a little bit of guidance would be appreciated.

TIA Howard

RE: Different Recurring dates

Hi!

I know this isn't about ItwCalendar, but I have just recently finished the first beta version of a program which reads from an .ics file, parses it and then creates a set of Excel spreadsheets with all the data from the calendar file. Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Sunbird can both output in this file format.

That bit probably doesn't interest you much, but since I have created the parser which reads FROM that type of file, it wouldn't be overly difficult to create a PHP application which creates this type of file itself, with event recurrences and exceptions, and so on. Let me know what you think, I can share the code with you and we might even be able to work on it together.

Cheers!

RE: Different Recurring dates

Hi Nicolas

Sounds quite nifty but I don't think it will fit my requiements. The calendar is to used as a staff calendar where any staff member state-wide can view and add events.

If they have to start doing "extra bits" they're not likely to use it (a couple of them are just getting over the PC scaries ). So in this case I'm trying to keep the whole process simple.

In the next six months we are moving to MS SBS 2003 for the enterprise and will use the Outlook web i/f. This calendar will be a short term thing.

Howard

RE: Different Recurring dates

I was hoping to use this calendar script for my kids visitation schedule. Having a monthly, every other week, etc - reoccurring entry would be fantastic!

RE: Different Recurring dates

I still use the code, and I've created the PHP app which takes the calendar input and outputs an Excel Spreadsheet. Still interested?

RE: Different Recurring dates

Can we see a demo for this app? I'm not sure why I'd want calendar information in an Excel spreadsheet. Maybe if I can see it, a lightbulb may appear over my head.
