List view problem

When i go to list view and select catagories to view (see below) all apperas fine. but when I use the dropdown box to goto the next month, I get a list view with ALL catagories showing. Not just catagories 1 & 8 that I started with.

How can I get the dropdowns to remember the catagories I was viewing?
