Month display return

I am trying to get the calendar to stay on the month you are editing instead of always going back to the current month after adding an event. I edit mine several months ahead and it’s a pain to always have to go back to the month I am editing every time I add an event. I would like to have it stay on May even though it’s February while I am editing it. I don’t like the auto return to the current month thing. PS I no NOTHING about PHP code so if you can help me PLEASE spell it out to a copy and paste format 

Thank

Steve
