Problem w/ ltw Calendar instructions

Excuse my being obtuse about this, but I am completely inexperienced relative to .php.
The install instructions for your ltw calendar state, in instruction #2 to "modify" the config file with my options. I created a MySQL database and entered the name into my calendar config file. The next instruction, #3, states that I should 'run' the install.php file. How do I 'run' a .php file? This is my first time dealing with .php, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

RE: Problem w/ ltw Calendar instructions

Once the files are on your webserver, just "run" the file through your webbrowser...i.e., just hit that URL:

http://youserver.com/install.php

RE: Problem w/ ltw Calendar instructions

Yes, I did that, and I get the following error message:

"Could not select the database.

Seems there was a problem selecting the database you specified. Please check the ltw_config.php file to make sure the proper values are entered there.

The error (if any) returned from the database was:
Unknown database 'teamcom_calendar'"

where I input "teamcom_calendar" as the name of the MySQL database. Do I need to create the database myself, or will the install process do it automatically based on the arguments I input? Any suggestions?

RE: Problem w/ ltw Calendar instructions

You need to have an existing DB prior to installing the calendar.

Now I've got the calendar installed but I'm getting a number of errors. Once I open the Calendar.php page I get the following:

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/psac/public_html/cal/ltw_config.php:42) in /home/psac/public_html/cal/ltw_header.php on line 4

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/psac/public_html/cal/ltw_config.php:42) in /home/psac/public_html/cal/ltw_header.php on line 5

Any suggestions before I break it myself?

Thanks James

RE: mysql?

Hmm..you can send me over your ltw_config.php file and I can check it out...make sure you take out your passwords...matt@codewalkers.com

You might want to check at line 41 and 42 and make sure the semi-colons are at the end of the lines and that the quotes are closed as they should be....
