User can't see calendar

Why would a user's computer not display my calendar when I can see it on my computer?

http://www.ladyhurricanes.net/calendar/calendar.php

She is running Win XP. She has dsl. Neither IE nor Netscape would display the calendar. She tried another php page; it also would not run. PHP pages just hang.

So it is either a problem with Windows or her service provider. Right?

RE: User can't see calendar

What does she get when she does a View Source on the main page?(Netscape View->Page source, IE View->Source)

I can see it fine from my comcast.net account.
Is she running any personal firewall software? Maybe that is blocking the site for some reason.

Can she see any static (.html) pages from your site?
PHP is all server side scripting, so browser should not matter (except rendering).

Finally, I see your left hand navigation is JavaScript. Can she see that?

The index page runs fine. She can see the javascript menu. She can see the java hit counter.

What in the page source would I be looking for? Do you mean source of index or calendar?

She can't go to the calendar either from clicking the menu or from typing the URL into the address bar.

I did ask her about that. But today my kid broke her kid's two front teeth, so she has been busy with that. I will wait on her reply. XP has a built-in firewall. I don't remember seeing any system tray icon for another. DSL may have a firewall, but seems like they would know how to configure it. She does not have a LAN so no router with firewall.

Yes. She can see the html pages, cgi pages that also use mysql database. I will ask her if she can see stats page that uses php -- I am proud to say I created the tables and the code to call them to the page

She says the problem existed before she changed to dsl.

As noted above, yes she can see the javascript menu.

I will find out about firewall and if she can see other php pages on my site, and post my findings.

RE: User can't see calendar

When she views the source of the calendar page, the whole source is there.

We finally figured out to stop the loading of the page by pressing the red X in the IE 6 toolbar. The calendar page showed up, minus the javascript menu. So I suppose the puter is encountering a conflict between the calendar and the javascript.

Html pages on the site which contain the javascript menu plus php code load fine.

Anyway, we found a workaround, but the problem remains a curiosity.
