[appleeaters]For the impatient

I just saw matt posted the scripts archive on
the ftp, which is a good thing as we can run
our own tests if we want to have an overview of
the final result.
We're running the benchmark posted on this board
with another seed to see which is going to be among winners.
This ofcourse will differ from the results posted
by matt but at least we can have a clue where we stand compared to the others.
We're running the tests on a PIV 3Ghz with 2G of ram.
However we will not be posting any results before matt.
I suggest everyone who wants to have an overview of the result to run their own tests.

Why not? That's about the level of technical competence our government is currently at.

"Codewalkers? Didn't we use them in WW2?"

I have started my own benchmarking of all the scripts that were submitted. It may take a couple of days, but I will post my results as soon as they are ready.

Cypher,

Nothing against you man... lord knows I don't have the computation power to touch the conetest, but how far have you gotten?

It may give others who are less willing to wait a sense for what is involved...

...perhaps they can learn some patience?

-best regards
Jeff

I have done the first 48 of the 74 entries. It takes time and I havent done it in the last day or so. I should continue it some more tonight...

Who posted these results? Cypher is it you?

What do they run...? The benchmark with 100 games each? What seed did you use to create the games?

P.S. Wow i am in there (#16), that's very cool ;-)
